The Scoop
This Tour offers few glimpses into the real studio operations, instead you feel as if you are inside a three-dimensional infomercial for the network.

The Tour:

The NBC Museum is a collection of memorabilia spanning the network's history, but anyone too young to remember actually sitting in front of the Philco will probably be left underwhelmed by the exhibits from the early radio-days. For the older TV generation there is a prop magic bottle from I Dream of Jeannie, but without Barbara Eden's curves it might as well be a soda bottle.

Most tours will, at some point, swing by the NBC Sweet Shop on the "off-chance" that tour guests will want to buy expensive treats. You may not be enthused by the candy, but the map of New York City engraved in the floor is interesting. And if you do want candy, but don't want to pay for it, enter the NBC Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win sweets. The Scavenger Hunt is a test to see how well you've been paying attention to the expensive NBC marketing. Number 2 pencil not required.

The NBC Experience has embraced - well, more like shaken clammy hands with - the interactive revolution with their series of interactive exhibits. There is "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and You" exhibit where you become a "virtual" featured interview guest with Jay, thanks to the same cutting-edge, forty year old "blue screen" technology that allowed Godzilla to stomp Tokyo. You may come away believing Godzilla made better use of the equipment. A videotape of your session with Jay is available for purchase.
